During March of this year we participated in the Free Wills Month which ten major UK charities offered members of the public aged 55 and over the opportunity to have their Wills written or updated free of charge by using the services of a local Solicitor.
This campaign was a resounding success, more so than we had anticipated.

One very important fact that the Free Will Campaign gave us was that there are many people who don't have a Will be cause it is cost prohibitive.
To follow on from the good work the Free Will Campaign did for our area, Buchanan & Co ran a similar campaign for over 50's to have a standard Will done for £30.

How it works - our Wills start from only £30 for a single Will, you then add to the cost, in increments of £20 or £30 if you require a Trust, Guardianship clause or special instruction in your Will.
This is the same way you would buy a car, you pay for the basis model and then add the extras if you want them.
On this basis, those folk who only need a simple Will are not paying the same price as someone with a complicated Will....it a much fairer way of doing business.
